Freshly released video footage unveils David Contreras of Florida, employing his residence’s doorbell camera to admit to his wife about the tragic incident where he fatally shot their son amidst a heated altercation. The footage captured the 52-year-old Contreras purportedly confessing to the shooting of his 22-year-old son, Eric, in their Miami home last November.

According to reports from the New York Post, Contreras could be heard informing his wife just after the November 3 shooting that their son was not breathing and had passed away.
In the midst of overwhelming distress, Contreras was observed crouching on the ground, his face covered in anguish, during a moment in the footage.
In the video, he pleaded with his wife, asking her to call his brother, while she tearfully mentioned that he might face legal consequences.
Following the conversation with his wife, Contreras dialed 911, disclosing, “I just shot my son.”
Upon arrival at Contreras’ residence, the authorities discovered Eric, a student at Florida International University, deceased from gunshot wounds.
Contreras was apprehended and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of second-degree murder during his arraignment on November 27th. The exact progression of events leading to the tragic outcome of the dispute between father and son remains uncertain.
Contreras remains detained without bond until his upcoming court hearing scheduled for March 11th.
