Beijing: A worker in eastern China was rescued after suffering heatstroke while working atop a tall industrial tank during a spell of extreme heat, prompting authorities to renew warnings about the dangers of prolonged outdoor work.
According to local fire authorities, the worker became trapped after experiencing symptoms of heatstroke and was too weak to climb down safely.
Firefighters launch rescue operation
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and immediately provided cooling treatment to stabilise the worker’s condition.
Using specialised safety equipment, firefighters secured the man and carefully lowered him from the top of the industrial tank to the ground.
The rescue operation was completed successfully without further injury.

Authorities confirmed that the worker received medical attention following the rescue and has since made a full recovery.
