In the wake of the mysterious death of PSI Parashuram, the Karnataka government has ordered a CID investigation, which commenced with a visit to Yadgir on Sunday. Led by Deputy SP Puneeth, the CID team inspected the Yadgir City police station and collected pertinent information related to the case. The government’s swift response aims to expedite the investigation and uncover the truth behind PSI Parashuram’s death.

Home Minister G. Parameshwara assured that the government will provide both a job and compensation to the deceased PSI’s family, along with all necessary support. Addressing media, Parameshwara dismissed the opposition’s allegations implicating the ruling party MLA as baseless. He emphasized that the CID team is actively gathering evidence and will soon submit a detailed report. The team has also met with the PSI’s family to gather additional information.

Parameshwara further stated that the government will take action against those spreading false information regarding the case. On a separate issue, he addressed questions about potential changes in state portfolios, indicating that a decision will be made by the Congress high command. A meeting of Congress leaders was scheduled for Sunday evening to discuss various matters, including the Governor’s show-cause notice to the Chief Minister. The cabinet, led by DK Shivakumar, has passed a resolution urging the withdrawal of the notice, with further discussions anticipated involving key party figures.
