Sharangowda Kandakura, the MLA from Gurumatkal in Yadagiri District, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the behavior and corruption of police officers in his constituency.
During a public response program held on Thursday, Kandakura criticized the police department and stated that he had requested time from the Speaker to submit his resignation letter due to this issue.
He specifically mentioned instances where he had contacted the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) ten times in a week to complain about corruption within the Gurumatkal Police. Additionally, social activist Sanju Alegara submitted a request for action to be taken against corrupt practices such as money collection without providing receipts in areas like Sand Dande, gambling, matka games, and traffic violations.
In response to these complaints and requests for action against corrupt officers, Kandakura reiterated that he had also filed numerous complaints with the DySP regarding Gurumatkal police officers. He questioned why no appropriate action was being taken against them despite repeated complaints.
