Mallikarjun Sankanagoudar, former manager of actor Darshan and native of Gadag, has resurfaced in the headlines following a suicide case involving another manager. Missing since 2018, Mallikarjun allegedly defrauded Darshan of Rs 2 crore and actor Arjun Sarja of Rs 1 crore.
His family in Panchaxarinagar, Gadag, claims ignorance of his whereabouts and prefers not to discuss him. In the wake of the Renukaswamy murder case, where Darshan is accused, Mallikarjun’s relatives and friends live in fear.
Aspiring to be a filmmaker, Mallikarjun began his career as an assistant director in Shiva Rajkumar’s ‘Valmiki’, where he met Darshan’s brother Dinakar, leading to his role as Darshan’s manager. It was during this period that he allegedly embezzled funds from both Darshan and Sarja. Arjun Sarja has filed a case against the still-missing Mallikarjun.
