Peresandra Police in Chikkaballapur have initiated an investigation into the theft of mobile phones worth approximately ₹3 crore. The theft occurred when a truck, owned by MI Company, was transporting 6,660 mobile phones from Noida in Uttar Pradesh to Bengaluru.

The truck was expected to arrive at its destination, but the company noticed a delay in its arrival. Concerned, the staff used GPS to track the truck’s location and discovered it was parked near a crossroad in Reddigollarahalli, a village in the Peresandra taluk. Upon inspecting the vehicle, they found that the mobile phones were missing, and the truck driver, identified as Rahul, was also missing.

The company immediately filed a police complaint, strongly suspecting the driver’s involvement in the theft. The total value of the stolen mobile phones is estimated to be around ₹3 crore. The theft has raised concerns about the security measures in place for transporting such valuable goods.

Peresandra Police have registered a case and are now investigating the matter. They are focusing on tracking down the missing driver and determining how the phones were stolen, as well as whether any other individuals were involved in the crime.

The case has drawn attention to the vulnerabilities in the logistics and transport sectors, where valuable goods are often at risk of theft during transit. The police are actively pursuing leads to resolve the case.
