Mangaluru: A car plunged into a swiftly flowing river near Mangaluru on Kerala-Karnataka border in Kasaragod district on Thursday, prompting the rescue of its two occupants. The incident occurred on the Pallanji-Pandya road in Kasaragod district when the car fell from a bridge lacking guardrails.
Rasheed and Tasreef were rescued from the submerged vehicle after they managed to save their lives by clinging to a tree in the overflowing river. The river’s rapid flow was exacerbated by heavy rainfall in the region. The locals rescued the duo.
