Pak Man Kills Friend Over Bite of Girlfriend’s Burger

According to ARY News, a young man in Karachi killed his friend in an odd incident after the friend allegedly ate a burger meant for his girlfriend.

According to ARY News on Wednesday, police authorities have completed their investigation into the incident that happened on February 8 in Karachi’s Defence Phase 5 area and have produced a comprehensive report.

According to the report, the altercation started when the accused’s girlfriend’s burger was allegedly consumed by the victim, who is named as Ali Keerio, a sessions judge’s son. Daniyal, the defendant, is the son of Nazir Ahmed Mirbahar, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).

The inquiry revealed that Daniyal had invited his girlfriend, Shazia, to his residence. His friend, Ali Keerio, and his brother, Ahmer were also present on the occasion.

The accused had ordered two burgers for himself and Shazia to enjoy. However, a dispute arose when Keerio allegedly consumed a portion of one of the burgers, triggering a furious reaction from Daniyal.

The confrontation quickly escalated, leading the suspect to seize a guard’s rifle and fire at Keerio, inflicting severe injuries. Keerio succumbed to his wounds while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Following a thorough investigation, the investigative officer concluded the inquiry and submitted the report to senior officials, holding the police officer’s son responsible for the crime. The accused, Daniyal Nazeer, is presently detained, awaiting trial in the court of law, ARY News reported.

There has been a noticeable increase in robbery-related deaths in Karachi this year, with 56 people killed and over 200 injured. By contrast, resistance to robberies resulted in 110 injuries and 25 fatalities during the same period last year. Overall, the numbers for 2023 were frighteningly higher, with 469 injuries and 108 deaths brought on by comparable circumstances.
