Vijayalakshmi, a 45-year-old woman from Animiganipalle village in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, has gone missing following a footpath collapse in Kuala Lumpur. The incident occurred on Friday while Vijayalakshmi was walking with her husband and son.
Details of the Incident:
- Collapse: The footpath unexpectedly gave way, causing Vijayalakshmi to be swept into an underground sewer. Her family members managed to escape unharmed.
- Search Efforts: Local authorities launched a rescue operation immediately, but as of Saturday evening, Vijayalakshmi’s whereabouts remain unknown. She was a frequent visitor to Malaysia and Singapore for business.

- Government Action: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu (APNRT) Society to assist in the search efforts. The Chief Minister and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh are closely monitoring the situation.
