It is offered in two variants, Nova and Zenith, and comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.
The new Q3 is positioned as Audi’s entry-level SUV in India and competes with models such as the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Mini Countryman. The SUV is locally assembled at the company’s facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra.
1. Price and variants
The 2026 Audi Q3 is available in two trims: Nova and Zenith. The Nova variant is priced at Rs 51.99 lakh, while the Zenith variant is priced at Rs 55.99 lakh, both ex-showroom.
The higher-spec Zenith adds equipment such as advanced Matrix LED headlights, an upgraded audio system and a head-up display. The Nova offers the core features of the new-generation SUV at the entry price.
2. Turbo-petrol engine and performance
The new Q3 is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder TFSI turbo-petrol engine producing 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Audi claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.1 seconds. The India-spec model is offered with a petrol powertrain, with no diesel option announced at launch.
3. Updated exterior design
The third-generation Q3 receives a more prominent front grille, split-style LED headlamps and redesigned lighting signatures. The body has sharper lines and revised bumpers, giving the SUV a more contemporary appearance.
The model also features 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, split LED tail-lamps and an illuminated Audi logo at the rear. The lighting design is one of the main visual changes over the previous generation.
4. Digital cabin and touchscreen system
The cabin features an 11.9-inch digital instrument display and a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The setup provides access to vehicle information and entertainment functions, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
Audi has moved the gear selector to a stalk behind the steering wheel, freeing up space on the centre console for storage and cupholders. The dashboard layout has also been redesigned to give the interior a more modern appearance.
5. Comfort and convenience features
The new Q3 includes a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats, heated front seats, three-zone automatic climate control and a powered tailgate.
The driver’s seat and exterior mirrors offer memory functions. Wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, keyless entry and rain-sensing wipers are also part of the equipment package.
The Zenith variant adds a head-up display and a 12-speaker, 420W Sonos sound system. The Nova variant gets a 10-speaker, 260W audio system.
6. Advanced lighting technology
The new Q3 features configurable daytime running lights with different digital light signatures. The higher-spec Zenith variant gets digital Matrix LED headlights designed to provide enhanced illumination and additional lighting functions.
The lighting system is a key technology upgrade, giving the SUV a distinctive appearance while adding features intended to improve visibility.
7. Safety and driver assistance
The India-spec Q3 comes with a range of safety equipment, including multiple airbags, parking sensors, a reversing camera and driver assistance systems. Reports indicate that the SUV offers Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), which can support the driver in certain driving situations.
Equipment varies by variant, so buyers should confirm the exact safety features available on their preferred trim before booking.
8. Dimensions and boot space
The new Q3 measures approximately 4,531 mm in length, 1,859 mm in width and 1,623 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,681 mm.
It offers a claimed boot capacity of 488 litres. The rear seats fold in a 60:40 split to accommodate larger items, adding flexibility for luggage and everyday use.
9. Local assembly in India
Audi is assembling the new Q3 at the manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. Local assembly supports the model’s availability in India and forms part of the brand’s manufacturing operations in the country.
The third-generation SUV follows the outgoing model with updates to design, technology and equipment while retaining a single turbo-petrol powertrain for the Indian market.
10. Rivals in the luxury SUV segment
The Audi Q3 competes with the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Mini Countryman. Its main features include a turbo-petrol engine, standard all-wheel drive, a dual-screen cabin and a panoramic sunroof.
With the new generation, Audi has updated the Q3’s styling and equipment while offering two variants at different price points. The final choice for buyers will depend on their preferred features, driving needs and budget.
