Aprilia is soon launching its second sub-500cc offering, the Tuono 457, based on the popular RS457. Positioned as a naked streetfighter, this motorcycle caters to those who seek an everyday commuter with the capability to tour. Here are three key things to know about the Tuono 457:

1. Platform and Design
The Tuono 457 shares its platform with the RS457, featuring a twin-spar aluminium frame, similar to the larger RSV4. It gets a flat handlebar instead of clip-ons, which provides a more relaxed riding position. Without the fairing, it looks more compact compared to its fully-faired sibling. The overall design makes it a strong competitor to the KTM 390 Duke in the naked streetfighter segment.

2. Hardware and Features
In terms of cycling parts, the Tuono 457 shares many components with the RS457, including adjustable USD forks, a monoshock rear, and 17-inch wheels. It comes with disc brakes at both ends and a TFT display for the instrument cluster. The motorcycle also offers full LED lighting, ride modes, traction control, ABS modes, and Bluetooth connectivity, adding a lot of value in terms of tech and convenience.

3. Engine Specifications
The Tuono 457 stands out for its engine, producing the most power in its class. Powered by a 457cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine, it delivers 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. It outperforms the KTM 390 Duke in terms of power and torque, with the KTM offering 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm.

With its appealing design, tech-packed features, and powerful engine, the Aprilia Tuono 457 is a strong rival to the KTM 390 Duke.
