New Delhi: BMW Motorrad has increased the prices of its F 450 GS adventure motorcycle in India by up to ₹30,000, just around five months after its local launch. The price revision applies to all three variants, while the motorcycle continues with the same engine, equipment and mechanical specifications.
The BMW F 450 GS is the brand’s entry-level adventure motorcycle in India and is manufactured locally at BMW’s plant in Chennai. The motorcycle is also exported to several international markets, including Europe.
BMW F 450 GS new prices in India
The entry-level F 450 GS Base variant has become ₹25,000 more expensive. Its price has increased from ₹4.70 lakh to ₹4.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
The F 450 GS Exclusive has also received a ₹25,000 hike, taking its price from ₹4.90 lakh to ₹5.15 lakh.
The biggest increase has been reserved for the top-spec GS Trophy variant. It now costs ₹5.60 lakh, compared with its earlier price of ₹5.30 lakh, representing a ₹30,000 increase.

No changes to engine or features
Despite the higher prices, BMW has not made any mechanical or feature changes to the F 450 GS. The motorcycle continues to use a 420cc parallel-twin engine producing 48 hp and 43 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle gets three riding modes — Rain, Road and Enduro — which allow riders to adjust throttle response, traction control and ABS intervention depending on riding conditions.
Its electronic package includes ride-by-wire, Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro, Dynamic Engine Brake Control and an anti-hopping clutch.
GS Trophy gets additional equipment
The top-spec GS Trophy remains the most feature-rich version of the F 450 GS. One of its key additions is BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch (E-Clutch) system, which allows the rider to shift gears without manually operating the clutch lever in certain situations.
The GS Trophy also features adjustable sport suspension and additional styling and protection equipment, including a tinted Rallye windscreen, white hand protection, white chassis elements and an aluminium engine guard.
Adventure motorcycle gets premium equipment
The F 450 GS uses a steel tube frame with the engine serving as a stressed member, while suspension duties are handled by 43mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock.
Braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends, supported by ABS Pro. The motorcycle also gets a 6.5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity.
Other equipment includes heated grips, a USB Type-C port, an onboard computer and adjustable clutch, handbrake and footbrake levers.
Made in India for domestic and export markets
The BMW F 450 GS is manufactured exclusively in India at BMW’s Chennai plant. Apart from being sold in the domestic market, the motorcycle is exported to several countries.
BMW’s locally produced adventure motorcycle is positioned in the sub-500cc segment and competes in a growing category of mid-capacity adventure bikes. The latest price revision moves the F 450 GS further into premium territory, particularly with the GS Trophy now crossing the ₹5.5 lakh mark.
The price increase comes amid wider cost pressures in the automobile industry, with manufacturers facing higher production and input costs. BMW has also implemented price increases across parts of its India portfolio this year.
BMW F 450 GS continues unchanged mechanically
For buyers considering the F 450 GS, the latest revision means paying more for the same motorcycle rather than receiving an updated model. The engine, gearbox, chassis, suspension and major equipment remain unchanged.
The Base variant now starts at ₹4.95 lakh, while the Exclusive and GS Trophy variants cost ₹5.15 lakh and ₹5.60 lakh respectively. With the latest hike, BMW is positioning the F 450 GS at a higher price point while retaining its existing performance and adventure-focused package.
