Ducati India has officially opened bookings for the Desert X Discovery, a new addition to its adventure bike lineup. This comes as part of Ducati’s broader strategy to expand its offerings in the country, including the much-anticipated seventh-generation Panigale V4.
What sets the Desert X Discovery apart is its unique color scheme, which combines black and Ducati Red, complemented by updated, replaceable decals. Ducati aims to make the bike adaptable with a range of factory-fitted options for customization.
The Desert X Discovery boasts several upgrades for comfort and convenience, such as a taller windscreen, heated grips, and turn-by-turn navigation with a five-year subscription (renewable). Other features include a center stand, fairing protection, and a large sump for better protection during off-road rides.
Performance-wise, the bike is equipped with 46 mm fully adjustable USD front forks and a KYB fully adjustable mono-shock rear. Braking is handled by dual 320 mm front discs and a 265 mm rear disc, paired with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels for optimal handling.
Powering the Desert X Discovery is a 937 cc L-twin engine delivering 108 hp at 9,250 rpm and 92 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed transmission. The bike also features rider aids like engine brake cruise control, power modes, wheelie control, and a bi-directional quick-shifter to enhance performance.
