New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has expanded its electric scooter portfolio with the new Honda QC3, positioned as a practical family-oriented electric scooter with a larger battery, longer claimed range and more connected features. The QC3 is priced at around ₹1.35 lakh, putting it in the same broad segment as electric scooters such as the TVS iQube.
Honda unveiled the QC3 as part of a larger Made-in-India portfolio of 10 motorcycles and scooters in July. The model sits above the QC1 in Honda’s electric range and is aimed at customers looking for a more practical everyday electric scooter.
The QC3 gets a 3 kWh battery, a claimed IDC range of 151 km, a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster and connected features. Honda has also equipped it with 32-litre under-seat storage and a Smart Key, giving the scooter a stronger focus on family and urban use.
Honda QC3 gets 151 km claimed range
One of the biggest upgrades over Honda’s smaller QC1 is the battery and claimed range.
The QC3 uses a 3 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed IDC range of 151 km on a full charge, according to Honda. Earlier reports around the model had cited a 145 km IDC range, but Honda’s current official product information lists the figure at 151 km.
The larger battery is intended to make the QC3 more suitable for regular city commuting and family use, particularly for riders who want fewer charging stops.
Honda has also revealed the scooter’s charging capability. The QC3 can charge up to 80% in 2 hours and 40 minutes, while a full charge takes around four hours.
5-inch TFT display with connected features
The Honda QC3 comes with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. The display is paired with connected functionality and is designed to provide riders with information and features beyond a conventional basic scooter instrument panel.
The scooter also gets Honda’s RoadSync connectivity, according to details reported after its unveiling. The connected system is intended to provide functions such as navigation and other smartphone-linked information.
The addition of a TFT display gives the QC3 a more technology-focused positioning compared with Honda’s entry-level QC1.
