Kia India Launches Syros Sub-Compact SUV with Pricing Starting at Rs 8.99 Lakh
Kia India has officially launched its much-anticipated Syros sub-compact SUV, starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.99 lakh. The new model is now available for bookings with a deposit of Rs 25,000, and deliveries are expected to begin by mid-February. The Syros is offered in six variants: HTK, HTK (O), HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, and HTX Plus (O), and comes with two engine options.
The first engine option is a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 120hp and 172Nm of torque. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT transmission. The second option is a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 115hp and 250Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The petrol engine is shared with the Hyundai i20 N-line, Venue, and Kia Sonet, while the diesel engine is also used in models like the Hyundai Venue, Creta, Carens, Seltos, and Sonet. With this launch, Kia aims to make a strong presence in the competitive sub-compact SUV segment in India.
