Monterey, California: Lamborghini has marked the 60th anniversary of its legendary Miura with a highly exclusive version of its flagship hybrid supercar, the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage. Limited to just 99 examples worldwide, the special edition combines design cues from the iconic 1960s Miura with the performance and electrified technology of the modern Revuelto.
The special series has been developed by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam personalisation programme in collaboration with Lamborghini Centro Stile. It is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Lamborghini Lounge Monterey during Monterey Car Week, bringing together one of the brand’s most important historic models and its current V12 flagship.
The Miura, unveiled in 1966, is widely regarded as the world’s first super sports car and played a major role in establishing Lamborghini’s identity in the high-performance automotive segment. Six decades later, the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage uses several of the Miura’s most recognisable design characteristics while retaining the technology of Lamborghini’s latest plug-in hybrid V12.
Revuelto gets a strong Miura-inspired makeover
The most significant changes to the special edition are concentrated on its exterior design. Lamborghini is offering nine colours inspired by shades historically associated with the Miura.
The palette includes Rosso Arancio, Arancio, Giallo, Verde Scandal, Verde Metallic, Blu Tahiti, Blu Notte, Nero Noctis and Bianco Monocerus. These colours are intended to recreate the visual connection between the limited-edition Revuelto and the original Miura.
Customers can also select between two dedicated liveries. The Oro Elios theme features gold-coloured accents and Altanero shiny gold wheels, while the Grigio Nimbus treatment combines grey detailing with Altanero matt titanium diamond-finish wheels.
The two liveries draw inspiration from a distinctive characteristic of several historic Miura models, where the lower portion of the body was finished in a contrasting shade to the main bodywork. This approach gives the modern Revuelto a clear visual link to its predecessor without attempting to replicate the original car’s design outright.
The exterior also receives Miura-inspired lower-body graphics, along with a dedicated Miura 60 logo positioned near the rear wheel arch. Lamborghini has added a gloss-black rear wordmark, gloss-black brake callipers and matte-black exhaust tailpipes to complete the special-edition treatment.
Owners who already have historic Miuras can take the personalisation process further. Lamborghini says customers with original Miuras finished in colour combinations outside the nine standard choices can work with its Ad Personam programme to recreate the colour scheme of their classic car on the new Revuelto.
Cabin combines modern technology with classic details
The Miura influence continues inside the cabin, although Lamborghini has kept the modern Revuelto’s overall architecture.
The seats feature the Classica Trim treatment and reinterpret the historic Miura’s distinctive “cannelloni” stitching pattern. Leather is also used across the centre tunnel, door panels and the rear bulkhead separating the passenger compartment from the engine bay.
A dedicated Miura 60 embroidery is positioned on the rear bulkhead between the seats. Each example also receives a carbon-fibre identification plaque on the driver’s side, carrying the inscription “Miura 60° – Serie Speciale 1 di 99”, highlighting the limited production run.
These additions are primarily focused on exclusivity and heritage rather than transforming the Revuelto’s mechanical character. The result is effectively a collector-focused interpretation of Lamborghini’s current V12 hybrid flagship, with the Miura’s history reflected through colours, trim and detailing.
No mechanical changes to the V12 hybrid powertrain
Despite the extensive visual personalisation, Lamborghini has not made a major mechanical change to the Revuelto for the Miura 60° Homage.
The car retains the standard Revuelto’s 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain produces a combined 1,015 hp and 807 Nm of torque.
Power is delivered to all four wheels, allowing the Revuelto to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.5 seconds. Lamborghini quotes a top speed of more than 350 kmph.
The absence of performance upgrades is significant because it makes clear that the Miura 60° Homage is intended primarily as a celebration of Lamborghini’s heritage rather than a faster or more powerful derivative of the Revuelto.
The combination of a naturally aspirated V12 with a hybrid system also gives the special edition a direct connection between Lamborghini’s past and present. The original Miura helped establish the template for the modern supercar, while the Revuelto represents the brand’s move towards electrified performance without abandoning its V12 engine.
Only 99 examples will be made
Exclusivity is central to the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage. Lamborghini will produce only 99 examples for customers worldwide.
The limited production number makes the car considerably rarer than the standard Revuelto and places it firmly in the collector-focused segment of Lamborghini’s special series. The carbon-fibre plaque inside every car reinforces this limited status by identifying each vehicle as part of the 99-unit production run.
Lamborghini has not announced the price of the Revuelto Miura 60° Homage. In India, the standard Revuelto is priced at Rs 8.89 crore (ex-showroom), before optional equipment. Given its limited production, bespoke personalisation and heritage significance, the Miura-inspired edition is expected to command a substantial premium over the regular model, although Lamborghini has not confirmed its Indian pricing or availability.
A modern tribute to one of Lamborghini’s icons
The Miura occupies a special place in Lamborghini’s history. When it was introduced in 1966, its low-slung proportions, mid-mounted V12 layout and distinctive styling helped redefine expectations for high-performance road cars. Lamborghini says the most powerful version of the original Miura produced 385 CV and exceeded 290 kmph.
The Revuelto Miura 60° Homage therefore serves as more than another limited-edition Lamborghini. It connects the company’s early supercar history with its current approach to performance, where electrification works alongside its naturally aspirated V12 engine.
The choice of the Revuelto as the basis for the tribute is particularly significant. Rather than recreating the Miura or introducing a retro-styled successor, Lamborghini has retained the contemporary design and engineering of its flagship while incorporating carefully selected elements from the original car.
The approach also reflects the role of the Ad Personam programme, which allows Lamborghini customers to personalise their vehicles extensively. In the Miura 60° Homage, that personalisation is directly tied to one of the brand’s most important historical models.
Lamborghini looks to its heritage while moving forward
The Revuelto Miura 60° Homage represents Lamborghini’s effort to celebrate a milestone without turning back the clock. Its colours, cabin stitching and graphics recall the Miura, but underneath the tribute sits a modern plug-in hybrid powertrain producing more than 1,000 hp.
With production capped at 99 units, the special edition is likely to appeal primarily to collectors seeking a direct connection to Lamborghini’s heritage. Its world premiere during Monterey Car Week will also place the car in front of an audience closely associated with high-value and historically significant automobiles.
For Lamborghini, the Miura’s 60th anniversary provides an opportunity to highlight how far the brand has travelled since 1966 while maintaining one of its defining characteristics: the V12-powered supercar. The Revuelto Miura 60° Homage brings those two eras together in a limited production model that is as much about heritage and exclusivity as it is about outright performance.
