BENGALURU – A 36-year-old autorickshaw driver, Ashok Kumar, has been arrested by the Magadi Road police after allegedly flashing at a woman while she was walking home. The incident occurred on September 18 in the afternoon, near Rajajinagar 6th Block, as the woman, a beautician, was returning from work.

Following the woman’s complaint, police reviewed CCTV footage from the area, which helped them trace and arrest Kumar on Tuesday.

In a separate incident, a 24-year-old woman, referred to as Neha, reported harassment by an autorickshaw driver near Silk Board early on Sunday morning. Neha had arrived from Chennai and, after finding no available cab, accepted an offer from an auto driver to take her to her destination for ₹270. However, the driver later insisted she travel in another auto.

During the ride from BTM to Bannerghatta Road, Neha noticed the fare meter showed ₹340 for the distance traveled. When she requested the driver to stop, his demeanor changed, and he began threatening her. Police are currently working to apprehend this second accused driver.
