What began as a day of celebration ended in devastating sorrow for two families in Bagalkote district, Karnataka. In a deeply tragic incident, a newlywed groom collapsed and died just minutes after his marriage ceremony concluded.

The heart-wrenching episode took place at Nandikeshwar Kalyana Mantapa in Jamkhandi town on Saturday afternoon. Praveen, son of Shreesha Kurani from Kumharahalli village, had just tied the sacred knot with his bride Pooja when fate delivered a cruel blow.

The morning rituals had gone smoothly, with family and friends gathered in joy to bless the couple. As Praveen prepared to climb the stage to greet the guests and take part in the traditional Aarthi ceremony, he suddenly complained of discomfort and collapsed on the floor.

The groom was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Doctors later confirmed the cause to be a massive heart attack. Praveen, a well-known cyclist and former secretary of the local cycling association, was just beginning a new chapter of life—cut short in seconds.

The wedding hall, which had echoed with music and laughter just moments earlier, was overcome with silence and grief. Both families were left inconsolable as the venue transformed into a space of mourning.

In contrast, a separate video from another wedding has gone viral online, showcasing a groom arriving in a makeshift AC-fitted carriage. The clever jugaad has attracted over 2.3 million views and 44,000 likes, becoming a viral sensation.
