Bengaluru: Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumarr issued an order banning all temple car festivals in public places. This decision was taken after the sudden surge in the Covid-19 positive cases across the state.
This means there will not be any Ugadi celebrations this year also. Last year also the festival was cancelled owing to the Covid-19 spread.
According to the order issued by the chief secretary, all kinds of religious events, celebrations, etc. are to be cancelled.
The decision is expected to cause more problem to the rural economy which depends mostly on these kinds of events.
