Bengaluru: The Basavanagudi traffic police arrested as many as 16 youth recently for bike wheeling late on Sunday evening. They also decided to register a case against garage owners who are modifying the bikes for wheeling purposes.
According to the police, these youth were wheeling on the city roads after dusk as vehicle movement was less. Based on a tip-off, the police arrested all the youth at the Basavanagudi underpass when they arrived at the spot wheeling.
Most of the arrested are locals who are college drop-outs.
The police also seized the bikes that were used for wheeling.
