Bengaluru: There has been a significant decrease in new Covid-19 infection cases in Karnataka. However, the increasing rate of death has become a cause for worry.
The deaths in the state on Sunday had crossed 120. The death rate has gone up to 1.19 percent. With the addition of 125 deaths, the number of persons who died out of Covid in the state has risen to 32,913.
Active cases reached 1,91,796 on Saturday and to 1,80,835 on Sunday. The positivity rate came down to 8.73 percent from 8.79. Chikkamagaluru happens to be the only district with higher infections with a positivity rate of 17.32 percent. This rate is 15.67 in Dakshina Kannada and 14.62 in Mysuru. These figures have been giving sleepless nights to the government.
