Belagavi Youth Stabbed to Death Allegedly by Lover’s Brother

Belagavi: A 22-year-old was stabbed to death in Belagavi’s Mahantesh Nagar on Thursday. The young man was stabbed to death with a screwdriver by the accused, according to sources.

The deceased has been identified as Ibrahim Gouse, a resident of Gandhi Nagar. He was allegedly stabbed to death by his lover’s brother.

According to local sources, Ibrahim, who was in love with a young woman from the same neighborhood, was riding a bike with her when tragedy struck. Witnesses reported that upon spotting the couple together, the young woman’s brother, Mujamil Sattigeri, flew into a violent rage and mercilessly attacked Ibrahim with a screwdriver. The brutal assault left Ibrahim critically injured, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital by concerned locals.

Despite efforts to save him, Ibrahim tragically succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital. The Mala Maruti police have apprehended the accused, and the investigation is ongoing.
