Karnataka is gearing up to launch the Vande Bharat Express on the Bengaluru-Belagavi route, offering much-needed relief to travelers. While the official launch date is yet to be announced, this service is set to cater to the growing demand for premium rail connectivity between these two cities.
Timings & Frequency
The Vande Bharat Express will cover the distance in approximately 7 hours and 45 minutes. The train will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 5:45 AM, reaching Belagavi by 1:30 PM. The return journey will depart Belagavi at 2:00 PM, arriving in Bengaluru at 10:10 PM. The train is expected to operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays.
Route & Stations
The route spans 611 km, with key stops at Davanagere, Hubballi, Dharwad, and Londa Junction.
Classes & Fares
The train will offer AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car options. Tentative fares are set at Rs 1,500 for the Chair Car and Rs 3,000 for the Executive Class. These prices are subject to final confirmation by the South Western Railway.
The launch of this express service is made possible by the doubling and electrification of tracks between Dharwad and Belagavi, a step that is expected to boost economic activity in the region. This upgraded connectivity promises benefits for students, tourists, and industries alike, making the Vande Bharat Express a game-changer for intercity travel.
