Belagavi, June 18: The Forest Department has enforced a ban on entry to all waterfalls located in the western part of Khanapur taluka, a popular tourist destination known for its scenic attractions. This decision aims to enhance visitor safety in response to a rising number of accidents involving tourists in recent years.

Safety Measures Implemented

The banned waterfalls include Kankumbi, Parwad, Chikhale, Chigule, Chapoli, and Maan, situated amidst dense forests. The Forest Department has cited the need to prevent tragic accidents and safeguard the lives of tourists as reasons for the prohibition.
