The Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation (KUIDFC) has issued a public advisory cautioning Belagavi residents against consuming borewell and open well water due to potential health risks.
Recent laboratory tests have confirmed that water from these sources is unsafe for drinking, yet a large section of the population continues to rely on them. To safeguard public health, KUIDFC and Belagavi Municipal Corporation have urged citizens to use only treated municipal water for consumption.
Authorities stress that ignoring this warning could lead to serious health issues. Residents are advised to prioritize safety and switch to municipal water supply to protect their families.
