In Belagavi, Karnataka, two proud citizens have creatively honored India’s military triumph through a bold and patriotic gesture — by converting their vehicles into vibrant tributes to Operation Sindoor, the retaliatory mission that targeted terror camps in Pakistan and PoK following the Pahalgam massacre.

Rajendra Desai, who heads Hi-Tech Motors and Automobiles Pvt Ltd, customized his Honda Exter with striking decals and miniature models depicting the might of the Indian defence forces. His car now flaunts visuals of the BrahMos missile, Rafale jets, battle tanks, and the Iron Dome system. On the doors are portraits of Colonel Sophia Qureshi, a Belagavi native by relation, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh — two symbols of courage and national pride.

Desai and his wife designed the theme for a Rotary Club of Venugram treasure hunt, spending ₹8,000 on the transformation. Their design won them the top prize. “We wanted to portray the fierce determination of our soldiers and the strength of Indian women, symbolized by the ‘Sindoor’. People are admiring the car and even saluting it,” he shared.

Social activist Shiva Chowgule adorned his Mahindra Thar with similar images, saying he wanted to immortalize the bravery shown by Indian forces. “After 26 innocent lives were lost in Pahalgam, our military gave a fitting reply. This car tells that story,” he stated.

Locals have responded with emotion, taking selfies and expressing admiration. “These vehicles spark patriotism,” said one inspired onlooker.
