Bengaluru airport cab fares and tolls to rise from April 1
Commuting to Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is about to get pricier. The same applies to trips on the two active sections of the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR).
Starting April 1, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will revise toll charges at Sadahalli (KIA route, NH 7), Hulikunte, and Nalluru Devanahalli (both on NH 648). This yearly adjustment is linked to the Wholesale Price Index (WPI).
For passenger cars, jeeps, and small vans using Sadahalli (22.12 km), a one-way journey will now cost ₹120, while a return trip within the same day is ₹180. A monthly pass for 50 one-way trips is priced at ₹3,970. Earlier, these rates were ₹115, ₹170, and ₹3,835, respectively.
Minibuses and small commercial vehicles will now pay ₹185 (single), ₹275 (round-trip), and ₹6,100 (monthly pass), up from ₹175, ₹265, and ₹5,890. For larger buses and trucks, the revised tolls stand at ₹370, ₹550, and ₹12,265, compared to the previous ₹355, ₹535, and ₹11,845.
On the STRR, the Hulikunte toll plaza (Dobbspet-Doddaballapur, 42 km) will charge ₹110 (one-way) and ₹165 (return), up from ₹105 and ₹155. Meanwhile, the Nalluru Devanahalli toll (Doddaballapur bypass-Hoskote, 34.15 km) rises to ₹85 (single) and ₹125 (return), from ₹70 and ₹105.
These increases will impact airport taxis, private vehicles, and even Vayu Vajra buses.
