In a chilling crime that has shocked Bengaluru, the body of an 8-year-old boy, identified as Ramanand, was discovered in a sack floating in a lake in the Parappana Agrahara area. Police have confirmed that the child was abducted and murdered, allegedly by a neighbor with whom the victim’s family had a long-standing dispute.
Authorities revealed that the gruesome act stemmed from a personal rivalry, which escalated to a fatal confrontation. The accused reportedly kidnapped the minor, killed him, and then attempted to conceal the crime by disposing of the body in a local water body, packed inside a sack.
Local residents alerted the police after noticing the suspicious sack in the lake. A police team rushed to the scene and recovered the body, which has been sent for post-mortem examination. The family was notified shortly after.
Officials from the Bengaluru police department confirmed that the case is being treated as premeditated murder, and a detailed investigation is underway. The suspect, a known resident of the area, is currently being interrogated.
Law enforcement personnel have also deployed forensic teams to gather evidence and reconstruct the sequence of events.
