A CEO and entrepreneur recently shared his thoughts on social media, applauding Ahmedabad‘s advancements in infrastructure, claiming that the city is “at least a decade ahead” of Bengaluru in terms of roads, traffic management, and overall city planning. According to his posts, Bengaluru’s roads are dusty, and traffic signals are often unclear, while Ahmedabad boasts wide, well-maintained roads with clearly visible, functional traffic lights.
He emphasized the organized traffic system in Ahmedabad, noting that each signal has a working timer with bright lights, which he believes helps reduce driver anxiety and promotes patience. In contrast, he criticized Bengaluru for lacking even this basic feature at many intersections.
The CEO expressed surprise at how much better Ahmedabad’s roads were, stating that before visiting the city, he thought the decline in road quality was a national issue. However, after seeing Ahmedabad’s condition, he concluded that the problem was specific to Bengaluru, as he couldn’t find a single pothole there.
Additionally, he pointed out the difference in ambiance between the two cities. Ahmedabad, in his view, feels vibrant and well-lit, contributing to a happier atmosphere, while Bengaluru remains dimly lit, affecting the mood of its residents.
The post quickly went viral, sparking debates online. While some users agreed with the CEO’s observations, others argued that Bengaluru still leads in the tech industry and job opportunities, areas where it remains decades ahead of Ahmedabad.
