A 20-year-old air hostess training student has alleged repeated stalking and harassment by three scooter-borne men during her daily commute near Bagalur.

Police said the woman approached authorities after the situation allegedly escalated into physical assault.

Daily harassment during commute

According to the complaint, the student is enrolled at a private college in east Bengaluru and lives with her family in a village near Bagalur.

She told police that the main accused, aged 22, along with two friends, regularly followed her on a scooter while she travelled between her home and the bus stop.

The trio allegedly teased, intimidated and made lewd remarks at her on multiple occasions.

Fear of stepping out alone

The student said the repeated harassment left her deeply distressed and fearful of going outside by herself.

She eventually informed her mother after the incidents continued.

Alleged assault on April 23

Police said the matter became more serious on April 23.

After missing her regular bus around 9 am, the student called her father, who asked her to return home so he could drop her to college.

While walking back, the accused allegedly approached from behind on a scooter and struck her on the back before fleeing.

The complainant said she felt shocked and humiliated and immediately informed her family.

Case registered

With family support, she filed a complaint at Bagalur Police Station.

Police registered a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections relating to assault intended to outrage modesty and sexual harassment.

The accused have been detained for questioning.

Police statement

Investigators said the main accused claimed he was in love with the student and was trying to reconnect after she stopped speaking to him. He reportedly said the contact was accidental.

Police are continuing the probe.
