To boost both the appeal and practicality of bustling traffic intersections and bus stops, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has refurbished 25 junctions in the city’s central business district. Launched a year ago under the Brand Bengaluru initiative, the project aims to create a more pleasant urban environment.
The redesigns include the addition of fountains, decorative lighting, and greenery, transforming previously dull intersections into vibrant spaces that promote aesthetic beauty while also improving traffic flow. This initiative reflects BBMP’s commitment to enhancing public spaces, making the city more attractive and functional for its residents and visitors.
By integrating nature and art with essential infrastructure, Bengaluru’s urban landscape is becoming not only more visually appealing but also more efficient in terms of traffic management.
