The Bangalore Conservatory is set to hold its annual graduation concert today, celebrating the achievements of 63 graduating students. The event will showcase diverse musical performances by the Conservatory’s various ensembles, including a choir, percussion band, guitar group, and handbell ensemble.

Located off Hennur-Bagalur Main Road, the Bangalore Conservatory is a premier institution for Western classical music education in India. It was established by music educators Dr. Kenneth and Dr. Vinita Henson, who initially launched it in 1997 as a short-term Summer Intensive Music Seminar. The program quickly gained traction, leading to the introduction of full-time Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree courses in 2004.

The concert, open to the public with free entry, will take place at 6 PM on June 18 at the Nava Jeeva Convention Centre in HBR Layout. Music lovers can expect an evening of rich harmonies, instrumental brilliance, and vocal artistry, all performed by the Conservatory’s graduating class and musical groups.

From its humble beginnings to becoming a respected Western music college, the Conservatory continues to nurture musical excellence and inspire the next generation of classical musicians.
