The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued a stern warning regarding illegal outdoor advertising and directed its officers to file police complaints against offenders. Despite a ban on such advertisements, the city is still inundated with ads, including numerous unapproved LED boards and hoardings.
Estimates suggest that around 100 LED advertisement boards, some as large as two-storey buildings, have been installed without the necessary permissions from the BBMP. In addition to these LED boards, advertisers continue to flout regulations by putting up unauthorized hoardings across the city.
BBMP officials are now under pressure to enforce stricter compliance and take action against these violations.
