BENGALURU: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to unveil a new National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, featuring state-of-the-art amenities designed to elevate cricket training and player development. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah announced on Saturday that the new NCA will boast 45 practice pitches, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and advanced training, recovery, and sports science facilities.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Shah expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming facility, stating, “Very excited to announce that the BCCI’s new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is almost complete and will be opening shortly in Bengaluru. The new NCA will feature three world-class playing grounds, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitches, Olympic-size swimming pool, and state-of-the-art training, recovery, and sports science facilities.”

The new NCA is expected to provide a cutting-edge environment for both current and aspiring cricketers to hone their skills. The existing NCA is located within the M Chinnaswamy Stadium premises, and the BCCI is also working on establishing new NCAs in Jammu and Kashmir and the North East region.

This initiative underscores the BCCI’s commitment to enhancing cricket infrastructure and supporting the growth of the sport in India. The new academy is poised to become a pivotal hub for cricket training and development, fostering talent and excellence in the sport.
