The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru has arrested two men, Harish and Hemant, for running a “girlfriend swapping” operation disguised as private gatherings. This illicit scheme, commonly referred to as “swingers,” involved tricking couples into swapping partners for sexual encounters. The women were manipulated, coerced, and subjected to blackmail, with explicit threats of exposing their private images if they refused. The criminal activities came to light after a distressed woman filed a complaint with the CCB. She revealed that she had been manipulated into participating against her will in these sexual encounters. According to the woman, she was romantically involved with one of the perpetrators, who exploited her trust and vulnerability for his own gain. When she resisted the sexual demands, threats were made to leak her private photos, forcing her into compliance. A senior police official confirmed that the accused had a history of similar offenses, using blackmail tactics to exploit women. The men would lure victims to private events, which were advertised as social gatherings but were, in fact, thinly veiled fronts for their criminal operation. WhatsApp was reportedly used to organize these gatherings on the outskirts of Bengaluru. During the investigation, several explicit images and videos were uncovered, which the accused used to intimidate and control their victims. This case highlights the disturbing nature of the crime and the recurring patterns of manipulation and exploitation involved.
