A 24-year-old college student in Bengaluru faced a frightening situation early Monday morning when two men forcibly entered the cab she was traveling in. The incident occurred between 2 am and 3 am in the Kammanahalli area.

The woman, an undergraduate student, had booked a cab to pick up a friend from Whitefield. As she entered the vehicle, two men attempted to enter the backseat with her. Alarmed, she immediately protested, and the cab driver, who did not recognize the men, confronted them. Sensing danger, the woman quickly exited the vehicle and attempted to run back toward her home. One of the men followed her but was stopped when nearby residents noticed the commotion and rushed to her aid.

The attackers fled the scene, and the victim later filed a formal complaint with the police. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and working to identify the suspects.

This unsettling event underscores the importance of safety and awareness, especially in ride-hailing situations, as residents continue to call for increased security measures.
