Bengaluru:According to the victim’s complaint, the incident took place when she and a friend went to 3rd Cross, Achuthanagara, to get juice for another friend who had collapsed following Onam festivities.
A group of students from the same college, reportedly intoxicated, were dancing on the road and passing obscene and abusive comments. They allegedly tried to rag the students as well.
When the complainant objected, one of the suspects, Albin, allegedly removed his shirt and punched her in the chest with both hands, causing her to fall to the ground. Another student, Navaneeth, along with others, reportedly joined in the assault against her and her friends, who tried to intervene.
Police action
A case has been registered at the Soladevanahalli police station, and an investigation is currently underway. Authorities have yet to confirm if any arrests have been made.
