In a shocking incident in Kothanur, North Bengaluru, a man allegedly assaulted a woman after she refused to give him money to buy alcohol.
The incident took place on Tuesday, when the accused, Anand, approached Nagalakshmi, who was sitting outside her house. He demanded money to purchase liquor, but when she declined, he allegedly lashed out with a knife, leaving her with a deep facial wound.
Hearing her cries for help, locals intervened and managed to restrain Anand before handing him over to the police.
The injured woman was immediately given medical attention, and authorities have registered a case against the accused.
This attack has once again raised concerns about safety in residential areas and the growing menace of alcohol-related violence.
