Panic In Visakhapatnam Bus As Man Attacks Women With Unknown Chemical

Panic erupted on an Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus in Visakhapatnam on Friday night when an unidentified man reportedly attacked three women passengers with a chemical substance, according to police. The attacker fled immediately after the incident, which occurred at the Kancharapalem ITI Junction when the bus made a stop.

Witnesses told police that the man boarded the bus and splashed a liquid chemical on the women, causing a burning sensation in their eyes. The women began crying in pain, prompting the driver to halt the bus. The affected passengers were quickly taken to a nearby hospital in an auto-rickshaw for medical treatment after police arrived at the scene.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to track down the suspect. Fortunately, the women are now safe after their eyes were thoroughly rinsed with water. However, the chemical used in the attack remains unidentified.

The police have sent a sample of the substance to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis. Investigations are continuing as they work to identify the attacker and determine the nature of the chemical involved.
