Allegations of impotency, harassment, and assault have led to a police case in Govindarajnagar, where a man has accused his wife and her relatives of demanding money and attacking his family. The unusual case has drawn public attention due to its sensitive nature and the claims of political links made by the complainant.
Marriage dispute turns sour
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the 35-year-old complainant married a 29-year-old woman on May 5 this year. After their wedding, the couple began living together at Saptagiri Palace in Bengaluru.
The man alleged that three months into the marriage, his wife suspected him of being impotent since they had not consummated the relationship. She allegedly forced him to undergo a medical examination to prove his capability.
Doctors, as per the FIR, confirmed that he was physically fit and advised patience, attributing the hesitation to mental stress.
Demand for money
The dispute escalated when the wife allegedly began demanding ₹2 crore as compensation for what she termed her husband’s failure to fulfil marital obligations. The man claimed that the pressure mounted further with threats and continued harassment.
Alleged assault incident
On August 17, the woman and her relatives allegedly barged into the man’s residence in Govindarajnagar. According to the complaint, they assaulted him and his family members during the confrontation.
Following this, the complainant approached the Govindarajnagar Police Station. A case has been registered against the woman and her relatives under sections related to assault and harassment.
Political connection claim
In a video statement shared online, the complainant alleged that his wife is associated with the media wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He appealed to the party to take note of the matter and extend support, though no official confirmation regarding her political involvement has been made.
Case under investigation
Police have taken cognisance of the complaint and said that investigations are underway. The incident has sparked conversations both locally and online about marital disputes, allegations of impotency, and the misuse of social and political connections in personal conflicts.
