A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged after a man allegedly killed his wife by pressing his foot on her neck until she died.
Harish Kumar and Padmaja, originally from Srinivaspur, Karnataka, had moved to Bengaluru after earning engineering degrees. The couple, who were parents to two children, were known to argue often.
On Tuesday night, a quarrel escalated into a brutal assault. According to police, Harish first beat Padmaja, then threw her to the ground and placed his foot on her neck, fatally crushing her airway.
A case has been registered at Bommanahalli Police Station. Harish has been arrested and is currently being questioned by investigators.
Authorities described the incident as an extreme act of cruelty stemming from recurring domestic disputes.
