Bengaluru : A 7.5-kilometre stretch of Bengaluru Metro’s Pink Line between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere is ready for inauguration and is expected to open to the public in September, Karnataka Minister for Greater Bengaluru Development Krishna Byre Gowda said on Wednesday.
The opening of the new section is, however, subject to the completion of necessary safety and rolling stock clearances. Authorities are also awaiting an official inauguration date from the Union government.
Gowda reviewed the readiness of the corridor during a trial run from Jayadeva Station to Kalena Agrahara, assessing the preparedness of the new metro infrastructure ahead of its expected opening.
