A Bengaluru paying guest accommodation has gone viral online after introducing a referral scheme that rewards current tenants with rent discounts for bringing in new residents.

Lakshmi Co-Living PG has reportedly launched a programme under which tenants can receive lower rent in the following month if they successfully refer friends to move in.

Referral offer grabs attention

According to posts circulating online, residents can receive a ₹1,000 rent discount for referrals who join one or two-sharing rooms.

For referrals to three or four-sharing rooms, tenants are said to receive a ₹500 reduction in rent.

The creative offer has sparked amusement and interest on social media, with many users calling it a smart marketing move in Bengaluru’s competitive PG market.

Multiple locations in city

The accommodation service reportedly operates in several parts of Bengaluru, including Ramamurthy Nagar, Brookefield and Mahadevapura.

Online listings indicate that the property offers facilities such as dinner services and no lock-in period, features often preferred by students and working professionals.

Growing demand for PG stays

Paying guest accommodations continue to remain popular in Bengaluru due to the city’s large student and migrant workforce population.

As rental competition increases, operators are adopting creative offers and flexible living models to attract tenants.

Lakshmi Co-Living PG’s latest referral campaign appears to be one such example that has successfully captured public attention.
