Bengaluru’s traffic police have intensified their efforts against dangerous riding practices, registering 33 cases related to ‘wheeling’ in Hebbal, Yelahanka, and Devanahalli. The crackdown resulted in 36 individuals being caught performing wheeling, a risky stunt where riders lift the front wheel of their motorcycles off the ground.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic, North Division) D R Siri Gowri reported that minors were involved in six of the cases, prompting action against their parents. Confiscated driving licenses have been forwarded to the competent authority for suspension.

The police plan to continue these operations under Section 107 of the CrPC Security Act, forming station-wise teams for future enforcement.
