In a thoughtful move to ensure comfort for children accompanying parents to police stations, Bengaluru’s Vijayanagar sub-division has set up child-friendly rooms at three key stations — Vijayanagar, Magadi Road, and Govindaraja Nagar, according to Deccan Herald.

City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh announced the initiative during a weekly press briefing on Tuesday.

The goal is to create a welcoming space for children while raising awareness about crimes against minors. These dedicated rooms will also serve as platforms to educate parents on safeguarding children from abuse and exploitation.

The effort marks a step toward making police spaces more approachable and sensitive to families’ needs.
