A Bengaluru techie has gone viral on social media after sharing his heavily customised food delivery order that transformed a rice bowl into what users jokingly called a “potato-only masterpiece”.
Zahle Khan shared screenshots of his unusual order on X after ordering a “Peri Peri Potato Rice Bowl (Mini)” through Zomato from California Burrito.
Almost every ingredient removed
Instead of choosing the standard bowl, Khan customised the order by removing nearly every ingredient.
The order reportedly excluded rice, black beans, pinto beans, grilled onions, capsicum, salsa varieties, sour cream, and several toppings.
What finally arrived was a bowl filled almost entirely with fried peri peri potato chunks.
The techie humorously captioned the post by thanking the “very concerned chef” who prepared the unusual order.
Internet finds the order hilarious
The post quickly attracted amused reactions online, with many users joking that only Bengaluru’s tech crowd could invent such food customisation hacks.
One user compared the dish to “jeera aloo without the jeera,” while another called it “peak Bengaluru behaviour”.
Others joked about trying similar customisations themselves, with several praising the creativity behind the order.
Bengaluru’s tech culture sparks another viral moment
The viral post once again highlighted Bengaluru’s unique internet culture, where conversations around food delivery, work-from-home life, commuting struggles, and tech humour frequently trend online.
Several social media users also described the order as a perfect example of how food delivery apps allow endless experimentation and personalisation.
The post continues to circulate widely across platforms, drawing laughter and curiosity from users across the country
