India’s horticulture growth story
The exhibition comes at a time when India’s horticulture production is projected to reach 362 million tonnes in 2025, with exports nearing USD 1.8 billion. Organisers say the event will help connect Indian growers and agribusinesses with international markets and technologies.
“HortiConnect India 2025 is a platform to bring Indian growers shoulder-to-shoulder with the best in the world. It is by the farmers, for the farmers,” said Rajeeb Kumar Roy, Director of HortiConnect and Managing Director of Agriplast Tech India.
Focus on women and sustainability
A key focus of the expo will be on women’s contributions to horticulture, climate-smart farming practices, and the use of biodegradable materials. Sessions will also explore emerging opportunities in carbon credits.
Live demonstrations of smart greenhouses, sensor-driven irrigation systems, and vertical farming models are expected to provide participants with a practical understanding of sustainable solutions. The HortiTech Innovation Awards will also be presented, recognising path-breaking technologies and models in the industry.
Conclusion
By bringing together farmers, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers under one roof, HortiConnect India 2025 aims to position Bengaluru as a global hub for horticultural innovation.
