In anticipation of significant traffic congestion on Outer Ring Road (ORR) this Wednesday, Bengaluru traffic police have issued an advisory urging companies to consider implementing work-from-home policies for their employees. The advisory, issued by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) MN Anucheth, highlights the expected challenges due to a long weekend and forecasted heavy rain.

The advisory, directed to the Outer Ring Road Companies’ Association, reads: “On August 14, traffic congestion is expected due to the long weekend and predicted heavy rain. It is requested that member companies consider allowing work from home for their employees. This will help reduce the number of vehicles on the road and ensure a smoother commute.”

This proactive measure aims to alleviate traffic pressure and improve commuting conditions amid the anticipated increase in road usage.
