The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) collected a total of Rs 9.3 lakh in fines during a special drive aimed at curbing traffic violations. The initiative targeted various offenses, including 570 cases of driving against one-way traffic or in no-entry zones, which contributed significantly to the fine collection.

The operation, designed to promote road safety and discipline, also led to fines for other common violations, such as illegal parking and speeding. The BTP’s efforts underscore the city’s commitment to improving traffic management and reducing congestion.

This special drive is part of the ongoing efforts by the Bengaluru Traffic Police to enforce stricter rules and ensure safer roads for all commuters. The initiative has received positive responses from citizens, though some continue to express concerns about the challenges of navigating through crowded city streets.
