Persistent traffic congestion continues to disrupt daily life along East Bengaluru’s Outer Ring Road, especially near major IT parks. In response, the city’s traffic authorities have issued a new advisory urging motorists to adopt alternative routes to help ease the mounting bottlenecks.

The Bengaluru City HAL Airport Traffic Police Station announced the directive following a surge in public complaints about severe traffic jams, notably during weekday rush hours.

As per the guidelines, drivers traveling from Bellandur toward commercial and residential hubs near the Devarabeesanahalli Junction are instructed to use marked lanes and adjacent service roads to maintain smoother movement.

Those commuting to prominent offices such as Intel, Global Tech Park, Eco Space, and Pritech Park should keep to the right lane of the Outer Ring Road and merge into the central service road when approaching Devarabeesanahalli Junction.

Meanwhile, vehicles bound for the Passport Office, Eco World, and Sakra Hospital must stay in the left lane and continue along the Passport Office service road to reach their destinations.

For commuters heading further towards Marathahalli, the advisory specifies taking the middle lane of the Outer Ring Road starting from the Bellandur area.

Officials have emphasized that public cooperation is crucial to minimizing delays and managing the overwhelming volume of vehicles on one of the city’s busiest stretches. The traffic police have appealed to all road users to adhere strictly to these directions to improve daily commute times and reduce stress for thousands of travelers navigating this corridor.
